Bath-Mats are Really Important!

The defence there have been no posts the last few days is because I slipped and fell while taking a sprinkle, and I hit my head on the bathtub. Drat! I’ve been quite foggy these done few days and not able think too hard, so thanks for hanging in there with me.

If I would have announce the reviews before buying this thing. Slippery. Bunches Up. Icky tender. Ditto all the bad reviews, no sense in repeating them. Precarious. Garbage Can.

Nit-picking to remove without tearing
I've had two of these bathmats, and I can't contemplate why I purchased the second, except that I had forgotten what a hassle the first was.
First the pros: It's exact and soft for my kids to sit on during bathtime, as long as they're not spot on on top of a suction cup. I also like the large size.
Now the cons: The biggest difficult is that the material is quite fragile, so when you grab the corner of the mat and yank it up to eradicate it after bathtime, it just tears the mat off the suction cups, leaving the suction cups still stuck to the tub. You can steer clear of this by reaching under the mat and carefully loosening the suction cups one by one with your fingernails, but I don't trouble to tell you this is a big pain. When we have guests, they always end up further tearing the mat the first rhythm they use it. And, in a bathroom shared by four boys, they rarely stir with that hassle, so the mat just gets dingy and objectionable. I hate to even touch it now.
Please don't waste your money with this mat.

Slipping Difficult
I purchased this mat foremost due to it's size since it is difficult to find larger sized mats. With the first few uses, I found the cushioning of the mat under my feet to be Cyclopean. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before I started to document when making any kind of move on the mat. This is a very unsafe product noticeably for those of us who are older. Perhaps if there were more suction cups, the mat would still be in use in my home as a substitute for of in the garbage.

Precarious
I am so dismal I did not read the other reviews. I used this mat once, and as I tried to get the suction cups to stand by to the tub, I slipped on the non-matte surface and fell in the tub. I have thrown it away, not impaired anyone else to be endangered.

For several years I had the Tsunami mat, which is expensive but served me well. I will be purchasing one of those now!

very uncomfortable
I was so aroused to try this as it is touted as the "world's most comfortable" bathtub mat and I paid twice as much for it. NOT! I was shocked to perceive you can feel the suction cups poking through and it is not contented to step on at all. Besides that, it doesn't stay flat and gets all bunched up when stepped on. I believe I'll go back to the plain old flat kind we grew up with.

Adept bath mat
We devotion this bath mat. My son has fun pointing to Elmo underwater. I would just endorse that you remove it after each use for it to dry on both side. After some use and not always removing it, I'm seeing some yellowing. Oh, mat fills about 3/4 of the to the fullest of our standard size tub.

Wonderful!
I was very fretful about getting this after reading the other reviews about the horrible stink, however I did anyway. I was pleased to find out that mine did not have a weird smell at all...just the insult "new plastic" smell which went away in a day or so. Cardinal coverage of the tub and my son loves it!

Not a very safe product
I enjoyment the design on this but the mat doesn't stick to the tub at all. I'm using this equity now for my tall 10 month old baby and she doesn't go wrong off the mat but the mat and her slide around the tub together. It's definitely not worth ordering online and paying for shipping, I introduce if you want to try this get it at a store where you can return it if you experience the same problems as I have. I ordered mine online so I'll a moment ago suck it up as a minor loss.

Ingenious but STINKS TERRIBLY!
I bought this mat 2 weeks ago and it stinks stupendous to this day. It's not the regular new plastic smell that goes away either. I have to run the bathroom fan 24/7 to keep being knocked out by the smell. I would toss it, but my 2 year old can't hang around to take her bath with her "Dora Mermaids". I have contacted the manufacturer 3 times with the warranty of a return call and have heard nothing. Advice to anyone looking to securing this mat would be to take it out of the packaging, unroll it and give it a big sniff before purchasing. That fetidness does NOT go away!

Rubbermaid still the rout bath mat
I try not to buy items online where I have to pay postage, but I have always second-hand Rubbermaid bath mats and wanted another one. The one I was replacing was so old, I didn't understand that I couldn't buy it anymore in the stores. I was going to buy something else, but considering I'd check out Amazon first. Not only did Amazon have a connection to what I wanted, but it positively was the reviews here that cinched it for me. The pro views for this product and the con views for some other types. Anyway, I am hellishly happy with my purchase. And the company I got it from. So if anyone else is iffy like me, go on and buy it with confidence.

Skilled MAT FOR THE PRICE
I was looking for a mat that was four inches longer but I could not find one made by rubbermaid. This mat looks cardinal and is soft to the touch. It stays where it is put. Also the shipping outlay is way to much!

personal property mat overall
I need the mat had holes in it--it seems to me like it there'd be less mildew and mold. Possibly not. This one is a good size and pretty sturdy stuff. No wimpy lightweight rubber here.

How can I keep my bath mats from getting yellow and mildewy on the bottom?

I coat then in the machine weekly and let them air dry. Any ideas.

Hanging them up is high-mindedness, but if you use the kind with a latex backing, the latex will in the course of time turn yellow and disintegrate. Use the towel mats; it's a bath mat made from terrycloth, with no support.

I dont use bath mats for that impose reason. I keep one towel on the floor for stepping out onto while I dry off and then hover it over the rim of the tub to dry. Use it about a week, and then use another. The mildew is from the water sitting against the mat and the defeat. You pick it up and the bottom of the towel/mat and the floor both get to respire instead of breed.

Could I cut plastic pebble bath mats, glue them to MDF, then grout between them like a mosaic for a headboard?

I'm demanding to get the polished pebble look 'on the tuppence' but thought the grout would add some authenticity while keeping the headboard lighter than using material pebbles.

I would solidly think so ........the mdf is already sealed so the remain is just getting a good fix job for all the pushing hands and feet:)........produce luck.

Unless you use an epoxy based grout, which is a bit of a hoax, you are apt to be wearing pieces of grout some mornings as it loosens and spalls off.

When I moved into our for nothing, I got excited about everything. I even purchased bamboo bath mats because I kindness they would be super soft and nice on the feet. They are, indeed, however these mats are without the clever non slip backing that most bath mats come with. So they were retired. Now what do you do with bath mats no longer being tolerant of as bath mats, you might ask? Why you turn them into changing pads, of lecture. They are the perfect size and as mentioned above, they are wonderful soft.

I used some of my splendid Chocolate Lollipop collection but any candlelight to medium weight cotton will business great, plus some ribbon and a itsy-bitsy extra light batting interior (because even bamboo is not quite soft enough for a Lilliputian baby’s bottom).

I laid the bath mat on top of the construction, right sides together and cut the fabric to the make an estimate of of the mat. Do the same with the batting to get all pieces the same size. Next, pin the construction to the mat (right sides together) plus the batting.
